Context
Mobility to Japan — study, internship, employment — runs through the JLPT. For a French-speaking West African learner, the difficulty is not only the language: it is the absence of a structured pathway, a sustained rhythm, and an administration able to follow a real cohort.
Challenge
An LMS that merely hosts videos is abandoned within three weeks. Engagement had to be sustained over time, while giving the teaching team a genuine control room: track profiles, publish modules, schedule sessions and measure quiz attempts.
Response
Progress is embodied in a level and experience-point system mapped onto the JLPT grid, from N5 to N1: the learner constantly sees what stands between them and the next tier. Content is organised into 22 published modules, complemented by revision quizzes and practice sessions. A calendar publishes classes, cultural activities and practice slots, filtered by level, with homework instructions attached to each session. On the administration side, a portal brings together the learner directory, the module manager, level and badge configuration, quiz supervision and login logs.
